City Council Considers Possible Move to Kapolei

Posted Thursday, June 26th 2014 @ 1pm

A Honolulu City Council Budget Committee passed a measure requiring the administration to study the feasibility of moving the City and County of Honolulu's seat of government to a new building in Kapolei.  Honolulu City Council Chairman Ernie Martin introduced the measure, saying a new building would allow the Council to have adequate space for meetings and eliminate the need for city agencies to continue to rent office space in privately owned buildings across the island.
