Lawmakers Meeting in Special Session
Posted Monday, October 28th 2013 @ 1pm

The Legislature has convened a special session beginning today to consider a gay marriage bill.  The Senate Judiciary and Labor Committee will held a public hearing at 10:30 a.m. in the state Capitol auditorium on the Senate's draft bill. Lawmakers will be considering other issues, as well, during this week-long session.  They'll discuss financing of two public employee labor contracts, emergency spending for public hospitals on Kauai, and the Senate will review several of Governor Neil Abercrombie's nominees to state boards.
