The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office has identified the Japanese visitor who died Wednesday at Leilehua Golf Course after being hit on the head by a tree branch as 55-year-old Shigeru Iwamoto of Katata, Japan. An autopsy will be performed on Iwamoto to determine cause of death. The incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. in Wahiawa while Iwamoto was golfing on the first tee. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition, where he died. The golf course was closed until further notice, and the Army is investigating the incident since it owns and operates the golf course.
