Honolulu fire rescuers continue the search for a missing kayaker for a third day in waters off Mokuleia on the North Shore of Oahu. Eighteen-year-old Dayne Ortiz, a senior at Farrington High School and a football player for the Farrington Governors, disappeared Saturday after his kayak capsized in rough waters off Mokuleia. Rescue crews from the Coast Guard, Honolulu Fire Department, Ocean Safety and Department of Land and Natural Resources all searched through the weekend. On Saturday night, Ortiz's empty kayak washed ahore. On Sunday, divers recovered two pieces of board shorts that Ortiz's family confirmed belonged to him. Monday night, thousands of Farrington High School students, parents and alumni gathered in the school's front lawn to remember Ortiz.
