A man who allegedly robbed a popular Filipino restaurant in Waipahu, has been charged. And, police are looking into whether 26-year-old Lindsey Furtado could be connected to a string of robberies at other Oahu restaurants. According to police, a man entered Elena's at about 7 a.m. Saturday while four employees were inside preparing the kitchen for the day. A man with a T-shirt over his face was armed with a large knife and he demanded money. He fled on foot and was arrested at a nearby apartment. Furtado was charged Sunday with first-degree robbery and unauthorized entry into a dwelling. His bail was set at $250,000. He has a court appearance Monday.
