Waikiki Man Ordered Held Without Bail in Fraud Case
Posted Tuesday, October 29th 2013 @ 1pm

A Waikiki man has been ordered held without bail pending trial on charges of defrauding the government of more than $200,000 in welfare cash payments, food stamps, housing assistance and student tuition aid. Sixty-six-year-old Vaughn Sherwood collected the benefits, even though he inherited more than $300,000 from his parents.  The judge says he's concerned about Sherwood's criminal history and the firearms agents found in his apartment.
