WATCH: Spiderman Versus NYC Police (WARNING: Graphic Language)

A panhandler dressed as Spider Man accused of socking a police officer has been arraigned.  Junior Bishop is charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

The incident happened Saturday in Times Square when a cop overheard Spiderman demanding money from a woman he had taken a picture with.  Prosecutors say the masked man flipped out, cursing, and punching the cop several times in the face and body.

It's just the latest in a series of incidents involving costumed characters in Times Square.

A man dressed as Cookie Monster was charged with shoving a two-year-old, Super Mario allegedly groped a woman, and Elmo went on an anti-Semitic tirade.
